The city of Niš has a very good road connection, since it is located at the crossroads of the most important Balkan and European traffic routes.
In Niš, the main route, which leads from the north, from the direction of Hungary and Belgrade (E-75), forks towards the south – towards Thessaloniki and Athens, and the direction towards the east (E-80) – towards Sofia, Istanbul and further towards The Middle East. There are also local roads to the northeast towards – Zaječar, Kladovo and Timisoara (Romania) and in the southwest direction, towards – the Adriatic Sea.
